Equipment That Works offers two TASMANIAN DIGGER models that can be mounted on a truck with flat beds. Model 9030 FB is a unit with an overall collapsed length of 8’-8” and a 30” telescoping inner boom allowing for a maximum length of 11’-0” from the center of rotation to the center of the auger. This unit is designed to fit on a bed with a length of 9’-0” from the rear of the bed to the headache rack.

The other flat bed mounted TASMANIAN DIGGER, model 12148 FB has a overall collapsed length of 11’-3” and a 48” telescoping inner boom allowing for a maximum length of 14’-0” from the center of rotation to the center of the auger. This unit is designed to fit on a bed with a length of 11’-6” from the rear of the bed to the headache rack.

For mounting on a truck with a utility body, we offer two models. The first TASMANIAN DIGGER unit, model 9030 UM has an overall collapsed length of 8’-8” and a 30” telescoping inner boom allowing for a maximum length of 11’-0” from the center of rotation to the center of the auger. This unit would be mounted on a 9’-0” utility body.

The second TASMANIAN DIGGER unit, model 12148 UM has an overall of 11’-3” and a 48” telescoping inner boom allowing for a maximum length of 14’-0” from the center of rotation to the center of the auger. This unit would be mounted on a 10’-6” or 11’-0” utility body.

Note: Almost all of the utility body boxes that the TASMANIAN DIGGER are mounted on will have to be either reinforced with additional interior support or be a “crane mount” type tool box. Also, we strongly recommend that one of our outrigger units be installed on all utility type mounts.
